I am a 54 year old Type 2 diabetic. I was diagnosed approximately 9 years ago. Over the past 4-5 years I have developed neuropathy in my feet and hands. I have undergone 16 hyperbaric oxygen treatments. I usually try to have 3 per week. Before having the treatments, I was not able to walk without severe discomfort in my feet. I had to quit working out at the gym because it hurt too much to walk on the treadmill. I am happy to report that I am now able to walk barefoot in my home (without pain), I can walk the mall and I am planning on restarting my workout routime this month. The feeling in my hands has also greatly improved.

Regarding Emmitt's hyperbaric treatments:

Emmitt was diagnosed at 2 1/2 years with autism and is now 9. We will be finished with 40 treatments next week. We can say that there has been a HUGE difference in Emmitt in many ways. He has also begun B-12 shots along with the chamber.

His language has jumped! He now uses contractions, more full sentences, pronouns, and he is amazing us every day!

He has calmed down in his fits at home. We have even seen him calm himself once by shaking it off when he started to get upset. That never happened before. When he does get upset, he quickly recovers now and it is ususally more appropriate. He has begun playing with his siblings appropriately and for more length of time.

He has begun setting the table and ate with us once. He has sensory overload and the smell bothers him too much.

His world has opened up to him since starting this treatment. He was amazed that the store had SO much. Before he would just follow us. Now he has to check everything out!

We thank God and Susan (Dr. Anschutz) for this opportunity to help our child!
